The story of Abraham sending his servant to fetch Isaac's bride in Gen 24:1-4 is a typology. Abraham is a type of The Father, The Servant is a type of The Holy Spirit & Isaac is a type of Jesus. The Holy Spirit is very close to The Father mentioned in John 14:15-17. Both Jesus & The Father are very protective of Him. We learn what it means to grieve the Holy Spirit and how to repent in Isaiah 63:10-11. The Holy Spirit lives inside of us and we will only know The Person of The Holy Spirit when we start to spend time with Him. Just like the servant went to chose the Bride, The Holy Spirit has been sent by The Father to select, prepare and mature the Bride for Jesus' return.
